Jessi Bulaon is an Associate Attorney at Kingsley Szamet & Ly. Ms. Bulaon graduated from UCLA, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a minor in Labor and Workplace Studies. Ms. Bulaon earned her J.D. Southwestern Law School. During law school, she worked as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Dean D. Pregerson in the U.S. District Court in the Central District of California, a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant to Professor Christopher David Ruiz Cameron, as well as a Research Assistant to Jonathan M. Miller. Ms. Bulaon also focused her law school studies on employees' rights and earned the Exceptional Achievement Award in her Employment Law Survey course and the Witkin Award in her Labor Law course. Ms. Bulaon was also selected as one of the 2020 CELA/FAIR Employee Justice Summer Clerkship Fellows and clerked at a plaintiff-side employment law first for 1.5 years before she was admitted into practice.
Ms. Bulaon's practice focuses on wage-and-hour class actions and representative actions under California's Private Attorneys General Act of 2004 (“PAGA”). She also works on single-plaintiff litigation involving discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination claims.
